The Pylmer SOM-16 (Until 2016 it was produced under the name Ecomer) is a probe-type device based on the principle of measuring the attenuation of probing radiation by suspended particles.
The length of the submerged section of the probe is negotiated individually depending on the customer's conditions.
The device is permanently installed on flues, chimneys and consists of two nodes.

- Advantages of the COM-16 dust meter:
- Easy installation - only one inset is required to operate the dust meter;
- simple and precise zero setting - due to the design of the submersible probe;
- protection against dusting of the optical circuit allows to minimize maintenance work;
- The dust meter controller has an LCD indicator and a built-in keyboard, RS 485 connectors, as well as a universal current output of 0-20 mA (any range), which displays the optical density and dust concentration.
